Steven A Davis
is a Professional Fight Coordinator and Stunt Performer who specialises in designing and implementing fight action sequences for Film and TV.
Based in New Zealand, he has been in the industry for over 20 years with over 25 years experience in Martial Arts, and has a Bachelors in Performing and Screen Arts from the Auckland Unitec Drama and Film School. He worked as a choreographer in the local theatre industry during the early 2000s, while also working as both an actor and a stunt performer. His first Film Choreography job was in 2012 during pickups for the Hobbit trilogy where he designed the majority of hero fights for the final movie “The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies.”

Since 2016, Steven has also been shooting Pre-visualisation videos for stunt teams. This is a tool that allows directors and crew to better understand stunt and fight sequences in the planning stages, while simultaneously aiding both the continuity during the shoot and the editing in post production.

Steven is a member of SAG-AFTRA, MEAA and Hitz International. He is also a graded Assistant Stunt Co-ordinator under the Stunt Guild of New Zealand.
